USDT is the practical choice in most of the world that isn't the US or EU. Tether's reserve transparency has improved since the 2021 settlement with the New York AG but still lags Circle's monthly attestations on USDC. What USDT has that USDC doesn't is reach: it's the dominant stablecoin on Tron, deeply liquid on every exchange in Asia and Latin America, and the de-facto USD instrument in markets where regulated USD access is hard or expensive. The 76 cards below accept USDT, almost always on multiple chains. TRC-20 USDT (on Tron) is the unbeatable top-up option for cost, typically under $1 per transfer regardless of amount. ERC-20 USDT works but costs whatever Ethereum gas costs that day. The geography of when to pick a USDT card over a USDC one mostly traces to where you're sourcing your stablecoins: if your income or savings already sits in USDT, paying conversion fees just to use a USDC card defeats the point. If you're starting fresh, USDC is usually the cleaner choice on regulatory grounds.
