Multi-chain support is the unsexy feature that quietly determines whether a card is usable for a real DeFi user. If your USDC sits on Base, your ETH on Arbitrum, your SOL on Solana, and the card only loads from Ethereum mainnet, you're paying $20 in gas every time you want to top up, assuming you can be bothered to bridge in the first place. The 14 cards below avoid that tax by accepting deposits across multiple chains directly. The implementations vary. MetaMask Card and Gnosis Pay run on a single execution layer (Linea and Gnosis Chain respectively) and bridge at deposit. SafePal and a few exchange-issued cards accept top-ups on a long list of networks but custody centrally afterwards. The newer DeFi-native crowd (Pyra, Tria, Tangem Pay) read balance directly from your wallet on whichever chain it lives on. Read the deposit-network field on each card detail page, "multi-chain" can mean three or it can mean fifteen. Based funds from Solana, Arbitrum, Polygon and Hyperliquid balances directly.
