Card Overview
The Gate Card is a Visa debit that spends straight from your Gate.com exchange balance, live across the EEA and actively developed (cashback tiers updated July 2026). Read the reward print first. The advertised cashback is a bait number: sources disagree on the ceiling, the top tiers demand high Gate VIP status or roughly $15,000/month in card spend, and even then rewards are capped, with the entry tier near 1% under a low monthly cap. Stack the 0.9% crypto-to-fiat conversion fee charged on every purchase, and a base-tier shopper nets close to nothing. Otherwise the mechanics are clean. No application fee, no annual or monthly fee, free virtual card. Funds stay custodial on the exchange: no separate card wallet, no pre-loading. FX runs 0.2% inside the EEA and 2% outside on the EUR card; a USD variant is quoted flat at 0.4%. ATM withdrawals are free up to €200 a month in the EEA, then 1%. You spend USDT, BTC, ETH or GT after clearing Gate Level 2 KYC and a recent proof of address. Apple Pay and Google Pay work. Availability is narrow: about 24 mostly-EEA countries, with the US, Canada, Brazil and most of Asia excluded. Best fit: existing Gate users in the EEA who already hold high VIP status or spend heavily and want zero funding friction. Wrong card if you want self-custody, live outside the covered countries, or signed up chasing the advertised 5 to 8% cashback you will not reach.
Gate Card transforms your Gate.io trading account into everyday spending power with exceptional travel rewards, earn 7% cashback on hotel bookings and 2% on flights, plus 1% on all other purchases paid instantly in USDT. Accepted at millions of Visa merchants worldwide, Gate Card offers contactless payments, Google Pay integration, and conversion from 10+ cryptocurrencies. Perfect for crypto traders who travel frequently and want to monetize their digital assets while earning industry-leading travel rewards with zero annual fees.
