Card Overview
The Solflare Card is a virtual Mastercard debit card that lives inside the Solflare mobile app, and it does one thing well: your USDC stays in your own Solana wallet and converts to fiat only at the moment you pay. No pre-load, no top-up, no custodial balance. You keep the keys.
Now the catch. It spends USDC only, which is dollar-denominated, but its target users sit in the EEA and the UK and buy things in euros and pounds. Every non-dollar swipe is a foreign-currency transaction carrying a flat 1% FX fee at the Mastercard interbank rate. So nearly every purchase costs about 1%, and there is no cashback to offset it. A points raffle ended in February 2026, and direct cashback is only scheduled for later in 2026.
The virtual card is instant and free: no monthly, annual, or issuance fee. KYC takes a minute or two and you must be 18. Google Pay works. Apple Pay is listed as coming soon. The physical card is not orderable yet, the FAQ just says 'soon,' with no price published. Not available in the United States.
Best fit: Solana users who already hold USDC in Solflare and want to spend it at Mastercard merchants without surrendering custody or pre-funding a card. Wrong card if you need cashback, a physical card, or plan to route most spending through a currency that isn't the dollar.
Solflare Card transforms the leading Solana wallet (7M+ users) into instant global spending power with the first truly self-custodial Mastercard on Solana blockchain. Spend USDC directly from your Solflare wallet at 150+ million merchants worldwide with zero fees, zero top-ups, and unlimited daily limits, your crypto stays in your custody until the moment you swipe. With 115,000+ pre-registrations, biometric authentication, real-time fraud detection, and 24/7 human support, Solflare Card combines Solana's speed and security with Mastercard's ubiquity. Currently launching in UK and EEA with global expansion planned, Solflare delivers true self-custody spending with Google Pay integration (Apple Pay coming soon), perfect for Solana ecosystem believers who refuse to sacrifice control for convenience.
