Card overview
Ready closed its card to new orders and switched off existing physical and virtual cards in July 2026. Its help centre said the cards would "stop working soon" because "our current card provider can no longer deliver the level of reliability Ready Cards require", and on 29 July 2026 Ready's CEO said in public that the card issuer was winding down with no notice to Ready. Press placed that issuer in the Kulipa wind-down of the same day; Ready never named it.
While it ran, Ready (the rebranded Argent) put a Mastercard on a self-custody Starknet wallet, spending USDC and USDC.e straight from a smart contract you controlled with passkeys. Direct STRK cashback had already ended on 1 May 2026, leaving Ready Rewards points redeemable for refunds or discounts. The paid Metal tier cost 120 USDC a year and ran FX at 0% on Mastercard rates; the free Lite tier charged 1% FX. Sign-ups were open to UK and EEA residents only, and a personal EU IBAN, SEPA and a UK sort code and account came with the account.
