Who issues the Moonwell Card
Moonwell Card does not name its issuer outright, and on the documents we could reach, the sponsor appears to be Third National (Nimbus LLC), USA; Puerto Rico money transmitter (NMLS #2612780), a subsidiary of Signify Holdings, Inc. ("Rain") per Rain's privacy policy, inferred from the program manager and not stated by the issuer itself.

Card overview
You can't get this card anymore. Moonwell's card ran on Cypher's rails, and Cypher paused all new card applications on July 8, 2026 as part of its wind-down: card loading was disabled, cards worked until August 7, and balances had to be withdrawn as USDC on Base by September 6. Moonwell announced it on X on July 9, the day after applications closed, but its documentation was never updated: in late July the docs still carried a "Get your card" route and a help centre promising 180+ countries. The same can happen to any white-label card: it can die upstream while the partner's own docs still describe it as live, so check the social feed before trusting the site. What the product was: a lending position with a Visa attached. You supplied cbBTC, AERO or weETH on Base, borrowed USDC against it, and spent the borrowed dollars while the collateral kept earning yield, with interest accruing on every dollar spent and drawdown risk no ordinary card has. Free issuance, 0% on USD purchases, 1.5% non-USD, 3% at ATMs, no cashback, US blocked since May 2025. Moonwell said on July 9 that it was exploring new card partners; none had been announced by late September 2026.
