Card Overview
The Trustee Card is a custodial crypto card you open inside the trusteecard.com app, live and obtainable across the EEA in 2026. Before trusting any review, know that Trustee rebuilt the card in-house after its old processor collapsed. The Quicko-issued version was discontinued on 3 February 2026, once Poland's KNF revoked Quicko's payment-institution license on 21 January 2026. So the BIN, card network, and fee figures in older writeups describe a product that no longer exists. Verify them in the app.
On custody, be clear-eyed. Trustee holds the keys, registered in Lithuania as a custodial wallet operator. Despite the occasional 'non-custodial' marketing, this is not self-custody. You fund it from in-app crypto (USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH) or by SEPA, and the live site advertises 0% FX and 0% fees on card payments within Europe. Confirm those before you rely on them.
Two catches people miss. There is no cashback. The advertised 'up to 45%' is a referral program paying you a slice of your referrals' fees, not a reward on what you spend. And it is EEA-only, with the US, UK, Canada and Australia excluded. New Ukraine applications were suspended on 20 May 2025.
Best fit: an EEA resident who wants a free, instant virtual card funded from crypto or SEPA and accepts a custodial wallet. Wrong card if you want self-custody, cashback, a guaranteed physical card, or access outside the EEA.
