Card overview

Trocador Card isn't one card, and Trocador doesn't issue any of it. It's a no-KYC exchange aggregator reselling third-party prepaid cards bought with crypto, and today it sells exactly one: an Obsidian Mastercard, in amounts up to $999. Each purchase is a single-load, non-reloadable virtual balance held by the prepaid program, not by you. Spend it or strand it.

You fund with BTC, XMR, stablecoins and others. No ID upload, though activation asks for your name, email, phone and address. The one-time issuance fee runs 3% plus $2. On the Obsidian card, add $0.60 per purchase, 2.75% FX and $5 a month from the third month, and it cannot be added to Apple Wallet.

3D-Secure merchants decline these outright, and you're told to drop any VPN, Tor or adblocker before redeeming.

Best fit: privacy-focused holders, XMR spenders especially, who want a one-off anonymous purchase and accept high fees, no reload and no rewards

Be clear about what you are buying: Trocador connects you to a third-party card provider, and today the only one on sale is Obsidian, whose international Mastercard comes in amounts from $25 to $1,500. As a privacy instrument, turning Monero into a card with no documents uploaded, it does something almost nothing else on this site does. As an everyday card it is weak: merchants that require 3DS decline it, and the running costs are $0.60 per purchase, 2.75% on foreign currency and $5 a month after the second month, on top of 3% plus $2 at purchase.
It cannot be added to Apple Wallet and it is not refundable. Obsidian's restricted list is 11 countries (Afghanistan, Belarus, China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela). Buy small, spend fast.
