Card Overview
The Bitpanda Card is a free Visa debit issued by Transact Payments Malta under a Visa Europe licence, funded straight from your Bitpanda wallet. The catch to read first: every purchase sells crypto to EUR at the point of sale, so each swipe is a disposal that also carries Bitpanda's usual trading fee or spread. That disposal may be a taxable event depending on where you live, and Bitpanda declines to advise. Custody sits fully with Bitpanda: it holds the keys and auto-trades your asset to euros the moment you pay. No monthly, issuance, or annual fee. The 1% cashback is conditional and base-rate only: it applies when your selected spending asset is crypto, so earning it means triggering the disposal. Spend the EUR or a stablecoin balance to skip the sale and cashback drops to zero. Fiat, stablecoins, metals, and Bitpanda Stocks are excluded, and the rate climbs at the BEST/VIP tier. Bitpanda charges 0% FX on non-Euro spend, but Visa's own network mark-up still applies on top. ATM withdrawals cost 2% or a EUR 2 minimum. A replacement card is EUR 9.90. Eligibility is euro-area only; no US. Best fit: existing eurozone Bitpanda users who already hold crypto and want a free card to spend it occasionally at 1% back, accepting the per-swipe disposal and its trading fee. Wrong card if you want self-custody, live outside the euro area, or withdraw cash and spend foreign currencies often.
Bitpanda Card transforms your investment portfolio into spending power with a Visa Platinum debit card that supports 200+ cryptocurrencies, precious metals, and even stocks. Enjoy instant real-time conversion at checkout with 1% crypto cashback, zero monthly fees, and 0% FX surcharges across the Eurozone. Perfect for European investors who want access to their diverse Bitpanda holdings for everyday purchases without manual conversions.
