Card Overview
Plasma One is a Visa debit card issued by Rain, a Visa Principal Member, live now but only through invite or referral early access. Codes like SPENDN or SPENDNODE skip the waitlist; no open public signup yet. Custody is yours: Plasma does not hold your assets, and the stablecoin balance backing the card stays owned and custodied by you. KYC is required. Rewards are where you read the fine print. Three tiers: Lite is free at 2% base, Core adds 3% base plus 5% on AI spend, Platinum reaches 4% base plus 10% AI and flight cashback. All of it pays in XPL, Plasma's volatile token, accrued as a USD figure but settled at the XPL price on payout day, so a falling token shrinks what you earn. Base cashback tapers past spend thresholds. Reaching the higher tiers means locking XPL for 12 months (Core roughly 20,000 XPL, about $199 a year; Platinum 100,000 XPL, near $12,000 at launch). Balance yield is advertised up to 6%, observed nearer 4 to 5%, variable and uninsured, with no FDIC or SIPC backing. FX shows in the app before you confirm, about 1% Platinum to 2% Lite. Coverage is 150+ Visa countries. US eligibility is contradicted across sources, so verify it at signup. Best fit: crypto-native stablecoin spenders who hold or believe in XPL and accept rewards in a volatile token plus a year of locked capital. Wrong card if you want predictable USD rewards or bank-style deposit protection.
Plasma One is a self-custody Visa card on the Plasma L1 chain, the Tether-backed stablecoin network. Your USDT stays in a wallet you control until you tap; spending pays up to 4% back in XPL on the Platinum tier (laddered by monthly spend) and idle balances earn up to 6% yield on-chain. USDT transfers are free when they route through Plasma. Cards are issued by Rain, a Visa Principal Member, with account services powered by Bridge. The app went live June 17, 2026, iOS first, with virtual cards only for now (the physical card is coming, and ATM access with it); Google Pay works via manual add until full Android support lands. Tier caps and XPL lock sizes are set in Plasma's Help Center and can change.
This is a Visa crypto card. It uses a self-custody model. It offers cashback rewards. Available to US residents.
