Gnosis Pay is a self-custodial Visa Debit card, and the catch is baked into the reward that sells it: the headline cashback is a temporary Gnosis-funded subsidy (GIP-110) that expires 30 September 2026, later replaced by unnamed "partner-led" programmes at unconfirmed rates. Custody is the real draw. Your money sits in a user-controlled Safe smart-contract account on Gnosis Chain, debited on-chain the moment you pay, so you hold the keys, not a custodian. Monavate Limited issues it under a Visa Europe license, FCA-regulated. Cashback scales with locked GNO: 1% at 0.1 GNO up to 4% at 100 GNO, plus a 1% OG NFT bonus capped at 5%, paid weekly in GNO under a tiered weekly spend cap. Read the fee print first. There is a roughly €30 card fee that several sources describe as a recurring annual Safe-maintenance charge, not a one-time issuance fee, so the "zero fees" line is misleading. Settlement is EURe/euro-centric, so non-euro spenders still eat the Visa FX spread. Live markets are most of Europe plus the UK, Argentina and Brazil; the US, Mexico and Colombia are waitlist only. Best fit: euro-spending Europe/UK, Argentina or Brazil residents who want their own keys and already hold GNO. Wrong card if you spend mostly non-euro, want flat cashback without a volatile governance token, or are counting on today's rate past September 2026.
