Card Overview
Blackcatcard is a euro e-money account from Papaya Ltd, a Malta-authorized EMI (reg C55146), with a free Mastercard and a light BTC/ETH/USDT wallet folded into one app. Read one line before anything else: your money sits in an e-money account with no Depositor Compensation Scheme cover. The official site says so in plain words. This is not a bank account, and it is not self-custody. The crypto wallet is custodial too. The card itself is free: a virtual one instantly, a physical one shipped. Extra cards run €7, or €12 with a custom nickname, and holding more than one flips monthly maintenance from free to €2. You get a free personal EU IBAN and 5 free SEPA transfers a month with no amount cap, then €0.20 each. The fee that decides the deal is card top-up: 3% per the official pricing, so fund by SEPA and skip it entirely. ATM withdrawals in the EU are free to €200/month, then 1%; non-EU 1%; non-residents 2%. Dormancy costs €15/month from the 7th idle month. Best fit: EEA residents who want a free euro IBAN with SEPA rails plus a Mastercard and a basic crypto wallet in one place. Wrong card if you want deposit protection, self-custody, or cashback as the main draw.
Blackcatcard is a free Mastercard and European IBAN from Papaya Ltd, a Malta-licensed e-money institution, with a built-in custodial wallet for BTC, ETH, USDT and USDC. Sell crypto to EUR in the app and spend at any Mastercard merchant, earn 0.5% base cashback (5% on Google Play) and up to 4% yearly reward on your balance — with no issuance fee, no monthly fee and free EU delivery.
This is a Mastercard crypto card. It offers cashback rewards. Available in Europe.
