Get Tangem Pay CardCard Overview
First Visa card we've seen marketed as fully self-custodial. Your USDC stays in an on-chain smart contract until the moment of purchase, with Paera as the issuer partner drawing settlement at point of sale. There's a hardware prerequisite worth flagging: you need a Tangem Wallet (around $55) to act as the signing device, sold separately. Stablecoin support at launch is USDC on Polygon only. More chains are listed as "planned." Spend limits start at $500/day for new accounts and rise to $50,000/day after verification, with a per-transaction max of $10,000. ATM access isn't live yet. The US footprint covers roughly 33 states (NY, AK, HI, and 14 others are out). Apple Pay and Google Pay work. Best fit: crypto-native users who already own a Tangem Wallet, want self-custody on Visa rails, and are comfortable with a single-chain (Polygon USDC) funding path. Wrong card if you weren't planning to buy the Tangem Wallet hardware or need ATM access today.
Tangem Pay is the first self-custodial Visa card, your crypto stays on-chain in a smart contract you control until the moment of purchase. Top up with USDC on Polygon from your Tangem hardware wallet (EAL6+ certified) and spend at millions of Visa merchants worldwide via Apple Pay or Google Pay. Zero fees from Tangem: no issuance, no annual, no transaction fees. Available in 42+ countries across the US, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and EEA.
This is a Visa crypto card. It uses a self-custody model. Available to US residents. Available in Europe.
