What happened: Lietuvos bankas revoked UAB PayrNet e-money licence on 22 Jun 2023 (AML/CFT, own-funds and safeguarding failures; the institution was found insolvent); Cryptopay told customers the revocation took effect immediately and that its EUR cards stopped working for EEA clients

Outcome: shutdown — not obtainable today

The EEA EUR card did not return, despite the closure notice promising "a new card programme that is expected to launch in just a few months". Cryptopay kept operating other products until 2026-01-01, when it closed personal accounts entirely and moved to a corporate-only product under KYB — a separate, later, brand-side exit, recorded in data.csv rather than here. Two disruptions, two and a half years apart, one brand.
