Card Overview
Don't sign up. New card onboarding paused on January 22, 2026 after CEX.IO's card partner Quicko lost its Polish payment-institution licence, and every existing CEX.IO Card stopped working on February 3, 2026. The cex.io/cards URL no longer serves a card product page. That's the visible signal the offering is wound down. CEX.IO has said it's searching for a new card partner; no relaunch date is public. The legacy product was a custodial Visa Debit available in the USA, UK, and EU, funded from 100+ cryptos on the CEX.IO exchange, with FX and spending limits never disclosed publicly even when the card was live. CEX.IO Earn yields still run independently of the card, so balances parked there aren't affected. If you held a card before February 3, the funds reverted to your exchange account. Best fit: nobody, until CEX.IO names a replacement partner.
CEX.IO Card is a Visa debit card from one of the longest-running crypto exchanges (founded 2013), offering up to 2% cashback on purchases. Convert 100+ cryptocurrencies to fiat instantly at point of sale with Apple Pay and Google Pay support. Available in the US, UK, and across the European Union.
