Card overview

Kraken ships this card in two designs, Kraken Card and Krak Card, and they are one product: Kraken's own card FAQ says the design is the only difference, that both spend from the same Krak Everyday account, and that one rewards tier covers both. Mastercard rails with 0% FX markup.

The card pays up to 2% cashback on every purchase, in the card's primary currency (GBP or EUR) or in BTC and nothing else, but the top rate requires €/£ 50,000 in combined assets across Krak, Kraken, and Kraken Pro, and the metal card is free only at a qualifying 30-day average balance of £50,000 in the UK or €50,000 in the EEA; replacing it costs £60 or €60, against £4.99 or €4.99 for plastic.

New cardholders get that 2% for their first 30 days and there is no monthly cap; after that the balance ladder is what you get, lower tiers earn proportionally less, and the flat 1% promotional rate ended on 31 March 2026. Kraken's own copy fights itself on that ladder: support lists five tiers starting at Starter 0%, the marketing page lists four, and the two cannot agree whether the €200 tier is called "Light" or "Lite". Geography is the real constraint: this Mastercard is sold in the UK and the EU/EEA only.

Kraken now also sells a Krak Card in the US, but that is a separate programme, a Visa debit issued by Lead Bank with Stripe as programme manager and a 1% foreign-transaction fee, and this page does not cover it. The account inherits your Kraken KYC, so existing exchange users skip a step. Krak charges no ATM fee, and it publishes no spending or ATM limits: they vary by region and show only in the app.

With Stablecoin Rewards switched on, USDG held in the Krak account earns a variable 4.00%, paid weekly into the existing balance, though not in the EEA; Kraken does not say whether that USDG can be spent with the card. The real disclosure gap is the spread on crypto conversion at checkout; Kraken doesn't publish the exact rate.
